after looking at my finished plan it looks so boring, uninspiring and completely of my key aims. its going to be a long 7 days to get everything done.

after mondays crit for the first time this term i actually felt confident in myself and the comments i received where something i could really work on. I spent the last 2 days contemplating what will happen on friday if someone told me that I have contorted some life restricting or shortening disease then at 13:30 on the 19/12/13 i have decided screw it what will be will be and don't let it affect me. It may be too late to get a first but I'm going to try and get it no matter what the situation. After watching train spotting for the millionth time (back when Danny Boyle made good films) I have finally decided that the live life speech is the best philosophy and not the opening speech of the film.

Just researching my site only to find out some poor kid was murdered there 5 years ago. how do i managed the design i do not want to offend anyone with my ideas as they will be viewed many times.

I feel that this year so far is the gamble that hasn't paid off after being ripped apart after the presentation i know now that the work wasn't good enough but least i did some thats more that can be said about others but i think anyone who attended the class on monday heard my opinions as i was not quiet about them at all.

The key question i suppose is what do i do from here do i look at what I've done draw a line in the sand cut my losses and start afresh as i now feel a good grade has flown out of the window or do i embrace the fear, hate and anger from monday and turn to the dark side and just see what i get at the end of the year.

Its going to be a tough few days

Metis stage 1

Some of my Historic Garden conservation some times i find it easier to draw than to write and write

A quick sketch of the avery hill winter gardens. I was able to do this by using a photo that i had taken at eye level and used its focal points to create a sketch

We went to potters field to see the supposed Piet Oudolf scheme after listening to Duncan Oudulf's influence on the site was minimal. There are certain issues within the site like under the trees the planting has just died (to be expiated but no contingency plan put in place) and also the hideous blue psu stuck in the middle of one of the beds and not covered by anything thing or screened in any other way. 

I get the strong sense that the planting was a real afterthought to the site especially after hearing how the scheme was implemented with the plants being left unplanted and unwatered across a hot long bank holiday weekend (not good)

This amazing garden is wedged between two massive alleyways of buildings. Its a community project with a lot of the planters being donated, it just shows that even in the centre of the city green areas like this can still be generated.

It was a good trip today with Duncan and Julia it was good to hear the opinion on the planting schemes on the south bank, more London and Neo bank side its just  a shame i was the only one there from the whole entire monday class.

Shame on you fellow monday classmates!

The infamous walkie talkie

People using the Jubilee gardens the whole area was packed even in the bad weather. seeing this today has really made me consider the volume of people as a constant factor when it comes to designing space.

Within the entire scheme there is no specific water feature and also no link to the thames even though it's less then 25 meters away (bit weird) 

A good use of raising the ground level to create a good viewing point and also using a more natural form rather that steps like in more London

The buildings behind are also a key feature into the landscape but have not really been brought into the scheme in any way

A variety of users within the space all seem to be enjoying it

The difference in trees the older ones still healthy and green and the new scheme are not fairing so well. Maybe when the scheme was considered the size of the trees should of been considered to give the scheme a lot more of the wow factor like Neo Bank side.

My take on the Jubilee gardens 

As a use of space from a community aspect it is very good and you can clearly see it is heavily used, but as a piece of landscape/garden design i don't think it works. There is no harmony with the surrounding area and there is no real context to the limited planting (i think cost is the main reason behind this).

Sorry if i have offended anyone who reads this but just remember this is my personal opinion.

the new metis plan

 ive decided to restart metis a big mistake but it had to be done as i could not move poison de merde any further, hers some rough sketches now to knock up a model in sketch up

Lets redo metis using some card and tape what ever i will come up with will be better than the current poisson un merde. My two words are urban carnage

Boom 3 in less than an hour

Boom 20 minutes and done i cant believe i remembered how to do shadows now lets play with photoshop a bit more

I cant believe i have messed up this bad i should of checked the paperwork in more detail i just hope Tom passes my presentation tomorrow i will get most people laughing though that should be good.

A lesson for next time check the paperwork and the dates at least twice a week

My re hash at Metis i still don't like it but theres just not enough time to start again i will work it up this weekend and hopefully adjust the aesthetics of it for the better.

i need to banish all external interruptions and just focus on coursework its hard with so much going on. Oh and i need to draw more as well. Argh why cant days be 36 hours long!

A whole 2 days wasted trying to learn indesign , i think i have finally sussed it but its still valuable time gone

Ive Just started to use indesign and i'm pulling my hair (what little is left of it) if anyone knows of any good tutorial videos or websites please post

One of the project i completed last year i thinks its a great founding for this year and the journey i am going to be taking.

Welcome all you cool cats to what is going to be the pit of my mind for the next nine months. I am going to be sharing ideas and any information and tips i pick up along the colossal journey i have in front of me. To any of my fellow students good luck and peace out and to anyone else who reads this stop and go back to work you have jobs to do.
